The Back To The Roots Aquafarm isn’t the best looking option for your home, but it comes in at around 3 gallons which is a great size for one Betta fish and some decor.
This kit comes with a pump, seeds and a coupon for a new Betta from Petco which is pretty cool.
The reviews on this Betta fish aquaponics kit are mostly positive with the biggest complaint being that it isn’t as low maintenance as it could be.
Some reviewers note that they need to clean it out and do water changes every week.

EcoQube aquarium is a great looking Betta fish tank with a plant on top, that comes in at 1.5 gallons. Although it’s a great looking kit it is still a little smaller than we like to recommend.
However, with hundreds of positive reviews, it must be working.
This kit is more of a visual statement with only one planter it isn’t something you would be using to grow herbs for the week.

#6 Penn-Plax Aquaponic Betta Tank
This Betta fish aquaponics kit from Penn Plax is a 1/5 gallon vase with planter on top and can be used to grow herbs and plants.
The kit comes with the vase, planting bowl for the plants and some growing substrate to get started.
The kit is only 1/2 gallon and we would not recommend this for a Betta or other small fish, but it could be used for some small shrimp or snails.
#7 Ecoxotic Vita Natural Ecosystem for Plant Growth
This aquaponic Betta kit from Ecoxotic is a beautifully designed tank with a handheld controlled LED light with a built-in timer.
It also comes with river stones, gravel and a hydroponic media pad and seed pack.
Although this is a nice kit it’s only 1.2 gallons and we would not recommend this for a Betta or other small fish, but it could be used for some small shrimp or snails.
If you do decide on this tank you will need to do regular water changes because of its size.
