1) Goldfish Are Survivors.

A goldfish can last for more than 3 weeks without food!

Although, this is an amazing trait, I would never recommend doing this to any fish.   If you think you will be away for a few weeks it’s best to arrange for someone to come and care for your fish.

2) Goldfish Like To Give

In some Asian countries it was popular to give a goldfish as a gift of friendship. If you did this today just be sure your gift comes along with an aquarium and some equipment.

3) Goldfish Can Grow Very Large

Goldfish can grow as big as a fully grown cat. There are some reports online of Goldfish weighing as much as 5lbs.

When Goldfish eat they can make squeaking and grunting noises throuh their noses.

Goldfish don’t have a stomach. Instead they have a long intestinal track that does the same thing. If you have ever kept Goldfish, this explains a lot.
