Finding Your Mini Aquarium Filter
As a betta owner, one thing I noticed was how difficult it was to find a great filter for a small tank.
This is a big problem because in my opinion, a betta tank should always have a way to filter the water, no matter how small the tank is.
However, I would recommend never keeping a betta in anything smaller than a 2.5-gallon tank.
I was surprised how little information there is online about mini filters for small tanks.
So, I thought it would be a good idea to provide some information to help out new betta owners, experienced betta owners and anyone who may be keeping any type of fish in a small or nano-sized aquarium.
Mini Aquarium Filter Considerations
If you are looking for a mini tank filter for your betta or small fish tank here are few things you should consider:
- Filter Capacity & Flow Rate
- Type of filtration (media)
The filter I use which I think is a good mini fish tank filter is the Rio Mini 90 Internal Power Filter and I have a full review of it here: Rio Mini Internal Power Filter.
However, there are a lot of other mini betta fish filter options available. Below you will find 5 mini fish filter models along with the aquarium capacity for each mini filter.
